Discuss is a transitive verb. It requires an object after it.

BUT

🙂 The group decided to have a discussion about the course.

In English, we discuss something (not about something) BUT we have a discussion about something.

Tip 2

All ready x Already

All ready means all are ready or completely prepared.

  • We are all ready to go.
  • As soon as I finish this, I’ll be all ready.

Already refers to time. It’s before the present time or earlier than the time expected.

  1. Is it summer already?
  2. I’ve already told him the news.
  3. I’ve only eaten this soup, and I’m already full.
